Heres a few pics of JD's Hetzer. I painted it in Tamiya Panzer Gray. Which is not the right color, in 1943 the Germans
stopped using Panzer gray and the Hetzer did not come out until 1944. But I liked the way it looked. I used Final Prep before
I started painting.
I used the tracks off the 250 Halftrack for the spares. I used copper bands to hold them in place. I got them from my
local hobby shop.
The Notck light is from Dennis (The Toy Surgen) The visor in the front is also from the 250 halftrack. I cut the old
one out, and used a little Bondo and glue to put in place.
The armour on the sides is 1.25 styrene. I used the templets from Tims site. I just made them a little bigger. I thought
it looked a little better.
The latch handles were made out of styrene rods. I just heated them up to get the bends.
The MG mount I made out styrene. I also used styrene and Tims template. The periscope is made from a styrene rod and
a copper band.
The can holder is made of copper bands. Its two pices that I glued together.
The exhaust is made out of copper pipe I got from Home depot. I found alot of Hetzer crews would remount there mufflers.
Beacuse when the wind would blow from behind they would get the heat from it.
Thanks JD for another great vehicle. And thanks Dennis for the cool noteck light. I cant wait for the jack set.
