Vintage Iron Knight tank and Kitbash

Why Kitbash an Iron Knight Tank? This baby is a classic from the end of the vintage era GI Joe and I didn't want to lay a single exacto on it. I did however want a german tank very badly and needed something for my first large diorama. So I got out the tape, cardboard and hangers and kitbashed away. Not to worry, the Iron Knight is still under all that without a scratch!

GERMAN MARK IV TANK

This was my very first "customization". As you can see from my Sunny Smile conversion pages, my efforts got bolder and bolder. I still like this conversion, but wouldn't dare harm a vintage piece unless it was already damaged. As for Sunny Smile tanks? Cut away!

A couple pictures of my kitbashed tank in the first large outdoor diorama I ever did.
