KDf's Hetzer

Heres a few pics of JD's Hetzer. I painted it in Tamiya Panzer Gray. Which is not the right color, in 1943 the Germans stopped using Panzer gray and the Hetzer did not come out until 1944. But I liked the way it looked. I used Final Prep before I started painting.

I used the tracks off the 250 Halftrack for the spares. I used copper bands to hold them in place. I got them from my local hobby shop.

The Notck light is from Dennis (The Toy Surgen) The visor in the front is also from the 250 halftrack. I cut the old one out, and used a little Bondo and glue to put in place.

The armour on the sides is 1.25 styrene. I used the templets from Tims site. I just made them a little bigger. I thought it looked a little better.

The latch handles were made out of styrene rods. I just heated them up to get the bends.

The exhaust is made out of copper pipe I got from Home depot. I found alot of Hetzer crews would remount there mufflers. Beacuse when the wind would blow from behind they would get the heat from it.
